We supplied more than 90 handmade puppets for this stop motion animated film directed by Johnny Kelly, including 5 dogs, 5 chickens, 6 pigs, 10 cows, 12 sheep and over 53 humans. The characters utilised a modular design meaning limbs, heads and torsos could be swapped and replaced easily. The human’s heads, waists and wire arms were magnitised to give controlled rotation. The legs featured custom ball and socket articulation allowing the characters to walk and take side steps. Each puppet was painted by hand with a thick brushed texture to compliment the tactile nature of the crafted film.
